Welcome To Our Website

It's incredible to think that in the Ten years we have been a part of Ceroc culture, at it's very core, nothing has changed. Modern Jive gives us both a sense of freedom and the sensation I get dancing with Rachel is the same as when we met all those years ago. 

What is different is the way we interact when we are not dancing. The dance world has drawn closer together thanks to the various forums and more recently facebook. The Essence facebook group is a great way for us to stay in touch. 

Communication on every level has become part of the dance experience.

 

In a bid to keep things simple, we thought a simple website would be to everyone's benefit. We would have a diary listing of our upcoming events and a central hub for our focus workshops. 

It would be a crime to discount our weekday classes. We hope you find our pages a useful addition to the network of Modern Jive websites online.

Looking to the past, we have a section called About Cuban Blues which tracks our progress and explains the origins of the dance. Over time, we will look to supplement the site with useful text documents discussing and understanding the different dance forms relevant to Modern Jive.

Looking to the future, there is most certainly a demand for music. The tracks we play are sourced from countless genres and it's a full time job keeping the vibe fresh. So far I've never published a playlist. Not yet anyway!

I'm thrilled to have the ability to post video clips on here too. I like the idea of being able to offer a long term reminder for our specialist workshops.
